Introduction to the Times Asia-Pacific Awards

The first Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards was held in 1990 by the China Times Group, aiming at broadening Taiwan's ad horizons and fulfilling a corporate vision while encouraging professional exchanges within the Asia-Pacific region. In the first year, Mr. John Doig, the Chairman of the judging panel captivated audiences with inspiring speeches and world-renowned advertising gurus graced the occasion. Since then, the Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards has moved on and become a prominent permanent fixture that attracts the participation and attention of the international advertising community.

Organizers of the Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards continue to uphold the ideals and aspirations by providing advertising professionals throughout the Asia-Pacific region with more opportunities for growth, sharing and learning. Each year, TAPAA invites internationally acclaimed ad experts to be the judges. The event highlights interaction between countries, opportunities for dialogues and appreciation of varied creatives. It is the wish of the Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards to generate more participation from the entire Asia-Pacific region through friendly competition and encouragement, and to give advertisers the chance to continue to create and display their new, innovative pieces.

The curtain is about to lift for the 18th Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards. We warmly welcome all participants and enthusiastically embrace this year's winners.
