Rules and Regulations

Eligibility:

1. Origin of entries - Asia-Pacific-Australia region.
2. TV + Print+ Outdoor Ads
Submissions – Ads published in government-licensed newspapers or publicly distributed periodicals and magazines, or posted in public places or outdoors media, shown on television or in cinemas (excluding documentaries, MTV etc.) or aired on radio between Sept. 1 st , 2006 and Aug. 31 st , 2007. Entries may be submitted by their advertising agencies, production companies or government-licensed advertisers.
Online Ads
Submissions - Created between Sept. 1 st , 2006 and Aug. 31 st , 2007 . All submissions must be commissioned for posting on an internet media source in the Asia-Pacific region.
The organization submitting an entry for online ad category is asked to produce documentation to prove that the ad has actually run.
3. If the advertising agency (production or media company), advertiser and ad-carrying media are of the same organization, please do not repeat submission of the same entry from each organization.
4. Each entry can be nominated only by one organization and requires prior permission of all relevant organizations and copyright holders stated in the entry form.
5. No resubmission for previous Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards winners.
6. Performance or eligibility may be affected if the entry form is incomplete or out of non-compliance with specified requirements. No further notification will be given.

 

Deadline:

All entries must reach the Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards office no later than Nov. 16, 2007.

Entry Fee:

1. Taiwan Area & Other Asia-Pacific Regions–U.S. dollars and NT dollars only
Single entry, each US$70/NT$2,500
Campaign entry, 2 ads US$140/NT$5,000
Campaign entry, 3 ads or more US$210/NT$7,500
2. Mainland China - RMB only
Single entry, each RMB600
Campaign entry, 2 ads RMB1200
Campaign entry, 3 ads or more RMB1,800

 

Payment:

Payment can be made in cash, by check or by bank transfer.

1. Cash: Cash payment is applicable only in Taiwan area.
2. Check: Checks must be made payable to “Times International Advertising Co.”
3. Bank Transfer: payment should be made through SWIFT (HNBKTWTP)

Mailing Instructions:

1. All entries must be sent along with:
Entry Listing Form/ Payment Documentation
The entry listing form should be a summary of the medium selection. Payment Information of each entry listing form must be complete. A photocopy of the bank transfer document must also be attached.
Entry Form
Only one entry form is needed for each entry. Refer to category listing for category selection.
English Translation Form
Non-English entries must be accompanied with English translation forms, typed and attached to the entry form. Please do NOT paste the English translation form on the back of the print ad cardboard.
Declaration Form
2. Entries from outside Taiwan must be sent prepaid via courier of your choice to:

A pro-forma invoice attached on the entry packages must state that the goods shipped have: “NO COMMERIAL VALUE, WILL NOT BE SOLD”, and is “STRICTLY FOR CONTEST MATERIAL.”
Regardless of the numbers of entries shipped, the declared value at customs must not exceed US$10.
Indicate the number of packages sent in sequence should it exceeds more than one. (e.g: 1 of 2; 2 of 2)

Awards:

1. Best of Shows:
The “Best of Show” awards will be selected from the Gold Award in television and print advertising. Winners will each receive a trophy along with an official certificate.
2. Category Prizes:
Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards will be presented by the judges and will each receive a trophy along with an official certificate while merit awardees will each receive an official merit certificate.
3. Online Ad Awards:
The jury will award Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit to winners of every category. Gold, Silver, and Bronze award winners will each receive a trophy along with an official certificate while merit awardees will each receive an official Merit certificate.

 

Category Selection:

- Each entry may be entered in the category of either products/ services or techniques, or both.
- An advertisement may be entered as a single entry or as part of a campaign, where it is applicable.
- Each category entry requires a separate individual entry form and fee.
- The Times Asia-Pacific Advertising Awards Executive Committee reserves the right to move an entry from one category to another if the entry was deemed to have been misplaced in the wrong category.
